ようやく東京の桜も開花！　と言う事で今日のBetter English With Catherineはまさにタイムリーなこのフレーズ「The cherry blossoms have bloomed!」。日本語で「桜が咲いた」です。「桜」は“Cherry Blossom”、「咲いた」は“Bloomed”と言い、満開は「一杯」という意味の“Full”をつけて“Full Bloom”と言います。「お花見」は“Cherry Blossom Viewing”とか“herry Blossom Party”って言えますよ。

今日のLisle小劇場は、桜が咲くたびに「よし今年は花見しよう！」と思うんだけど、いつも逃してしまう。だから今年は絶対“I’ll go to the HAMAMI, and enjoy the cherry blossoms, and I will take the picture of the cherry blossom when the cherry blossom have bloomed!!” 「花見に行って楽しんで桜が咲いている内に写真を撮るぞ?！」だそうです。今年のLisleのミッションの１つだって。Don't miss out, Lisle!
